Damn, seeing Tim's Ford brings back great memories. I lived in Winchester for a few years after college for my first job.

Spent a lot of time up in Sewanee chasing the girls at University of the South and over in Lynchburg at the Jack Daniels distillery.

I have no fishing advice, but we had good times cruising the lake on a deck boat.

Have a great time.

Sorry you had to go through that. Wouldn't be bad if it was a little closer to Nashville or Chattanooga.

Because of corn harvest I have not been up there in a couple of weeks. Tims has always been a tough lake for me. Hair jigs off points usually produces a few fish. Some top water action at dusk and dawn.
If you get tired of smallmouth catch a few bream for bait and fish for the hybrid stripes. That is always fun but the game wardens frown on the bream for bait.
As someone else said bluegill grill is a good place to get a bite to eat.
Have fun that is a beautiful lake.

I had a great time in Winchester, did a lot of mountain biking, hiking, hunting, spelunking and repelling, had a great group of friends, and there were plenty of hot little country girls around. Nashville was also plenty close enough for weekends.

Exactly what I've been reading. Going to give it a shot this evening and hopefully twice a day for the next 4 days. Will report back, hopefully with fish

It is a hard lake to fish but it has some pretty scenery. I have seen 12lb win a tournament there and the same weekend take 35lb at Guntersville.

You enjoying the house you rented?

This house is very nice. Not too big but on a huge very shaded lot on a cove. Recently renovated and done very well. Highly recommend it.
