Any reports?
Have been working my arse off for 4 months and it's time to spend some money.
I will try all my regular holes.
Artificial since I think they stop selling shrimp around now.

Yes ..I think it was more exhaustion than illness.

I feel like slaying some trout....

A good friend of mine limited on reds in about a half hour then started throwing back fishing for trout. Flounder is also active in the channel. I fished around Rockefeller last week and it was extremely slow.

Thanks for all the info..
I am very familiar with Big Lake as I fished it about 40-50 last year and earlier..
I will post a report when I get back.

I will fish Prien Lake, then Turner's, then west Big Lake, West Cove, maybe the weirs on the east side and maybe the Jetties depending on how slow the bite is.
I am taking 2 friends and my brother and plan on burning most of the 40 gallons of gas since it's been in the tank for several months.
I bought some Sea Foam and will crank the boat tomorrow and it if sounds sluggish I will add it in.

Cads, heading to Hackberry right now. Yet driving thru Port Allen. Will fish till Saturday afternoon. I'll post up some results.
From what I'm hearing, small trout north mixed in with some big trout.
Will be in west cove and the channel most if the time cause that's where the big trout and all the flounder are.

We caught some big trout earlier in the year in the channel but we had live bait.

I'm really just scouting for trout and I'll stop when I hit them.
May bring some dead shrimp and let them fish Reds if we can't find trout.
I have over 100 spots marked on my GPS so I'm not sitting in one place for long unless we start catching...

You'll catch your trout at turners or find some birds

No more live bait as of today

Ship channel for flounder

Reds all day at the wiers on gulps if you can make it there today. Right now its 20mph straight out if the north.
Caught trout north side of big lake. Hardly any flounder in ship channel at Oyster Bayou yesterday. Had ni water movement all day yesterday. Going out in this shite this morning.

Backed the boat up to the launch and had no power to the tilt, cranking, or panel on the dash.
Had power to the trolling motor and fuel gauge.
First time I have had trouble with the boat since I bought it.
Found where a mouse had chewed some insulation, maybe he chewed a wire.
Will bring it to a mechanic Monday.

So your day isn't so bad after all.

Felt bad for the the people I was bringing so I gave them 2 packs of fillets and some sausage I had just bought.

The responsibility of that trip was on me.
Too many straight months of work and not attending to my boat.
Hopefully will get the boat fixed soon and get back on the water...

You wouldn't have been able to fish today anyway. That wind had everything drained including the slip where our boat was hoisted up ok. Woke up at 5:00, looked under the boat and saw nothing but mud.

All the boat landings were drawn down so far you couldn't really launch unless you put in at the intracoastal. Today sucked arse.
