Thinking of downsizing a little on my CC pistol and those are the three I'm looking at currently. What do you like, or not like about your particular pistol? Wish you had bought something different? Happy with what you carry?

Go hold them for yourself. To me the ergonomics of the M&P are better than both others.

I own the Shield, CM9 and the LC9S. I like all 3, but probably like the Ruger the most.

I have. I like all three to a degree. Just wanted opinions from owners of each and their personal experience.

What do you like about the Ruger? I've not held that one yet.

Go to a range where you can rent them and shoot them for yourself. Only real way to see what works for you.

I personally like the way the trigger feels on the G43. I own a couple other glocks and it is just like the other models. I'm used to it, and for a CC you want something that you are comfortable with and is reliable. And really, nothing wrong with a little range time "research"

I carry a Glock 23 now, have since 1991. Hard to beat the reliability. Any problems with feeding with it?

I am so used to the glock and the trigger now I can't imagine carrying anything else. If you like the 23 you'll like the 43

I think the hardest thing, is getting used to the idea in my head of only having 7 rounds.

I have 3 G43s. All of them are flawless with 1000+ rounds through my main one. I would trust my life to any glock product especially my G43s.

I just got the S&W M&P Shield 9mm. Went to the range yesterday. I like the feel and accuracy. But the slide is hard to rack. Reviews say it will be easier later after hundreds of rounds.

Don't confuse it with the original LC9. The LC9s has an awesome trigger and just feels great in my hand.

G43.

Not that great imo. I like the Shield much better. More capacity and it has a better grip imo. The glock feels like holding on to a 2x4.

They sell extra mags.

I have a G43, a 9mm Shield and a few Kahrs (PM9, P9, MK9).

My EDC is a G19. Right now my BUG is the Shield -- but it has an Apex kit in it. If the Shield had a stock trigger, my BUG would be the G43.

As was already posted, if you like the G23 and shoot it well, you'd be wise to go with the G43 (same manual of arms, same trigger pull, same reset, same sights, etc.).

I have an XDS and am disappointed in the corrosion resistance of the slide. Residing in my work truck it has developed some flash rust. It goes away with the wipe of a silicone gun cloth but if you were using it to CC in this climate I suspect sweat could be a problem for it.

Glock's tenifer finish is much more durable.

I have a Shield 9mm and XDs.45. Of the two I carry and like the Shield more. I shoot it better and it's lighter and feels better.
