Any one know where I can get a small tank for generator cleaned out and refurbished? I was an idiot and didn't drain my gas from hurricane Gustav and had a mess when I went to use it for Issac last month. It varnished and rusted inside due to moisture. And I tried calling manufacture to get it replaced but the tank is not available any longer.

Yeah I was even thinking if I could find any other tank close to the size I have I could jury rig it by drilling new holes into frame maybe. It's just trying to find another or just order one close to it and wing it. Not a thing wrong with generator just no tank at the moment

Definitely rig with plastic boat tank of roughly same size.

Rigging with a plastic replacement should be the cheapest and easiest. But you may want to look at products to clean and restore rusted tanks. Here is one that I know of. I've never tried this stuff. There may be other products that are cheaper or better. But I have had friends who used similar products to salvage old motorcycle tanks.
