Forgotten/Lost firearms

Just remembered I have deer rifles under the bed at my Dad's house in NELA from our Christmas visit. Other than the rash of boating accidents we've all encountered lately I was wondering if the OB has ever misplaced or forgotten about any guns they owned.

Once while visiting my FIL who had an FFL at the time I found a cheapo Hi capacity 9MM still in the box under a stack of Shotgun News. When I asked him about his new pistol he replied, "I bought that last year and forgot where I put it."

Another time I had stashed my guns in the trunk of an old brokedown car in the yard while I had some contractors working in my house. The guy that eventually bought the car came back a few days later with two of my revolvers that he'd found inside the spare tire.
