Pretty damn clever. Not sure it would be much faster than glue and pin nailing though.

I am betting that it is not nearly as simple as he is making it look...however, I think it is damn cool that it works at all...

I was skeptical when I started the video but I am pretty sold. You could really knock out a full set of drawers with this quickly. Normally I use a locking bit set on a router table but the setup is a PITA to get just right. This seems pretty straightforward.

Doesn't seem practical to make them that heavy duty with the thick bottom for closet drawers etc. you only need 1/4" for that. Still cool though

He was demonstrating on 3/4 but I would imagine 1/2 would be identical.

One most drawers you use 1/2 sides with a 1/4 bottom but it is offset by 1/4 or more so the 1/2 bottom would give you the same height for the most part.

1/2 bottom drawers would be pretty beefy.

Couldn't you just take a strip of ply to make a bottomless box, route a groove for your bottom to slide in and then use his same bit to make cuts and fold the strip at the four corners?

Yeah, the same as normal box building but speeding up the corner making process. Didn't even think about that. The second thing he does is similar to that but he already has the bottom in. Too bad I need one way sooner than they'll be available.
