Freaking birds are something else. Between the eagles that throw the goats off the cliffs to that thing using bait, there's not a lot they can't do to get fed. They figure shite out.

My buddy saw a Mississippi Kite catch a squirrel and drown it then bring it out and eat it. And I see herons that drop out of the sky on fish in open water like a pelican like they do it all the time.

Damn things are amazing.

Yes he is. We've been bird watchers since we were kids and are worse than ever these days. That was what was the biggest surprise about it to him. The Kite grabbed the squirrel off a limb right in front of him while he was sitting there watching birds eating his lunch in his truck by Cross Lake. It could barely glide the short distance to the water where it just crashed into the lake and started switching feet back and forth fighting the squirrel till it stopped kicking.
