I am in the market for some yellow lens glasses to use early in the morning or in low light conditions to get polarization. I am going to be in the keys later this week and am going to try these out. Any opinions? I don't want to spend costa money for glasses I won't wear but a couple of hours on most fishing trips but I'd like to have polarization earlier in the day before I can put on green mirror glasses.

Finding yellow lens fishing sunglasses is tough. Seems like every other tint imaginable is more practical to some experts. But the truth is, yellow lenses have their place and time and for some like me, anything dark is too dark for my eyes.

Flying Fisherman makes very good budget glasses. Another option: Smith Optics now owns a lower price glass company, made overseas to their specifications. Its been labeled a best buy. The name escapes me but it can be googled.

Personally I've never paid more than one fitty for shades. They have a habit of walking away.

out of your budget but I'll recommend it anyway, the Maui Jim HT (high transmission) lenses are the best you're going to find for this application. I've got these for that very thing, and they're obviously great for overcast days when my costa's are too dark

Suncloud is the $50 price range brand owned by Smith Optics.

I hear good things about flying fisherman and suncloud, but I dont have experience with either. I have a pair of bass pro xps that have been surprisingly good however my next pair will likely be sunclouds.

I had a pair of suncloud's The Mayor, and I thought they were worth the $45 I paid for them on Amazon. I lost them in the river getting drunk which is why I don't like to spend anymore than 50. I have a pair of peppers (~$40 at academy) that are about a year old, but the polarization/tint is fading on the edges. Other than that, the peppers have served me well for what they cost. I would recommend the suncloud though, they seemed to be good quality for the few months I had my pair.

thanks guys! I tried on a bunch but no yellow tint ones. I may just wind up with some yellow costas.
