I use a double uni knot but it will sometimes get caught on the eye when casting. I'm exploring options and seeing what everyone else uses. Suggestions?

I like my fluorocarbon. Haven't had knot issues. Stays low memory.

I use an albright knot. For smaller diameter lines and leader it seems to cast fine.

For larger diameter lines, try the slim beauty. It's supposed to be pretty compact. LINK

Agreed. Here's another one I found when I was trying to learn different fishing knots:

What gets caught when you cast? Is it the tag end of the fluoro sticking out catching on the eyes? If so, you may have the same problem with the albright. Get it cinched down tight and trim the tag end of the fluoro down as much as possible so it doesn't stick out and catch the eye.

improved cinch on fluorocarbon, leave loop open and use palomar on braid. Had a friend tell me that he had a palomar knot slip on fluorocarbon.

Alberto knot - best knot I've ever used for joining braid to a different line type.

Sebile/FG knot is a bitch to tie, but is the most streamlined.
