Was planning on going to Hopedale or Delacroix. Anyone have any suggestions or tips? What are they biting on, if they are biting? Where to go? TIA

Fished the cut behind Elmer's Island Monday morning, 15 specks, all females with under developed/developed eggs. I would guess along the coast, couple more weeks of spawning.

I've only been fishing out of Hopedale this summer and have just been shooting straight to the rocks. I been getting live shrimp from Breton Sound Marina (their shrimp is terrible compared to Campo's, but I have a small boat and don't have the fuel to launch at Campo's) and fishing under a popping cork.

Everytime I've gone this summer we've boated about 15-20 trout and landed 2-4 bull reds. By no means a home run but with my boat I can't afford to be running from spot to spot.

Good luck! I'll be out there Sunday.

When I've been out there recently, bright plastics did better than live. I think it has to do with visibility.

This is good to know. You fishing them under a cork or on jigheads?

I bought 80 lbs in Simmesport a couple weeks ago for $1.25 a pound gutted weight. They cleaned them for me as I waited.

I think I like that method better than setting lines
