Whats your go-to artificial?

Does a shad pattern spinnerbait work worth a damn? I'm thinking I may run into some green trout.

Chas Champagne has been killing the reds in the shallow marsh ponds off Lake Borgne for the last few weeks using pink champagne matrix shad almost exclusively.

Don't even try targeting trout any time soon in Lake Pontchartrain.

We tore the Reds up on Saturday afternoon on pond adjacent to lake borgne

3 man limit in less than an hour once the reds found the baitfish we anchored near.

I prefer artificials, but they were primarily hitting live/dead shrimp under a cork. I caught one jigging a gulp shrimp and buddy got several with vudu shrimp under cork. Threw top water, plastics, spoons, etc without any luck.
