Posted by bubbz on 11/10/16 at 10:20 am00
Can I get this at a register or do I need to go back to the outdoors dept to get this?
TIA - I searched, but didn't find anything

Walmart is usually good at screwing things up with outdoor licenses

Most Walmarts have a side entrance where the tire shop is. Normally that is where most outdoor centers are as well. I usually park on that side entrance walk in and walk out in five minutes and then I need to renew my fishing license. Dictated not read

I stopped by Walmart this morning to buy my hunting license because it was on my way to work and I didn't want to forget about it before Saturday morning. I was in & out in 5 minutes. I probably would have been at least an hour in Academy because I couldn't have went in there solely for a hunting license

Don't do WalMart.
Ive waited 20 minutes waiting on someone before.
Thankfully Bass Pro opened a couple of years ago here in Little Rock.

Thanks for the input
The only issue I've ever had doing the Walmart thing, is if there's nobody working that desk. It only takes a couple minutes to go in and out. You pay at the desk, don't have to fight the checkout lines. Sometimes there's a nice deal in ammo, go ahead and get some at the same time.
Disclosure- I don't hunt/fish right now, so I would get the bare minimum (canepole, I think) in order to use Sherburne WMA outdoor range. Last time I did it, cost $2 for that license, and additional $2 do order online. Was stopping at Walmart anyway for targets, so I figured what the heck.
