I have to be in Brunswick, GA next week for work and will have one day to screw around. Does anyone have any experience fishing the Georgia coast? Sounds similar to LA, only not as awesome. Worth the time? Willing to drive a couple hours in each direction if its worth it.

Well, it's the Atlantic so I'm not sure how similar it is, but good luck and let us know.

I did write this. If I were you, I'd wade through all the responses you have received and go from there. Again, good luck.

It's not. The tides are much greater so the marsh empties completely. It just doesn't support the fish population that the Louisiana marsh does. I made several trips to the GA coast and then sold my boat (we moved to GA from LA).

Fished it near St Simons for years on company paid for trips. Used guides. Never caught more than two specs. Total waste of time. If by remote chance you do get lucky limit is five.
