First split recap

I hunt mainly in the rigolets (Slidell)
The worst split I've had in 7 seasons. Killed no more than 2 each hunt. Pitifully sad, usually we shoot limits of marsh ducks.
Had one good hunt in Venice, killed a 6 man. Other than that I haven't sniffed a good duck hunt since last Christmas and Canada earlier this fall-- that doesn't even count, though.

One good teal hunt in Venice and going to Tennessee next weeekend for a hunt. Sorry your split sucked. Thought they had a ton of birds down here. What happened?

Best we've had in a long time. 14 days into season and we were above last years total. But with all this rain I believe the party is going to be over for us on the coast. Should have opened it earlier and had longer first split.

Awesome first split here. Lots of ducks and lots of fish. No complaints.
