The cameras were only out for about 12 hrs before I pulled and checked them, so no. When we pulled in Friday afternoon it was 106* so I'm pretty confident the daytime movement is little to none for the most part.

Ahhh, first high fence squabble of the year. Must mean we're close to hunting season on the OB.

I hope you're not referring to me. My company has a 10000 acre high fence lease in south Texas. We take customers and lent them shoot trophy bucks and mount them for them.

I'm happier with a mature doe or any buck that I shoot on my 80 acres in north La or running dogs on my lease in Oil City.

To each his own, but buck farms don't really impress me.

Did y'all just start managing the existing heard when y'all got/high fences the property, or did y'all bring in breeders?

We just managed the existing herd. We have been kicking around the idea of bringing in some bred does just to introduce some new genetics but haven't yet.

not for me but whatever floats your boat. I love it when they guy I work with starts talking about his 20 points he kills every year. He thinks he is so cool. He kills 400 lb 20 point bucks every year. The guy he books with in Missouri actually sends him pictures of this years bucks and he gets to pick out wich one he wants to kill normaly takes one evening. He brags about it all the time

There's some difference between that and what we do, but you're right, whatever floats your boat.

My father and I tried to introduce a large, trophy buck into our herd and it did not end well. He killed some of our doe and as a result, ended up in a large pen. The doe would constantly shake that arse in front of his cage and, he became so enraged and ready for action, he literally had a heart attack and died. A lot of money wasted on that venture

Not sure if my sarcasm came through but I wasn't hatin; just ribbing. If I ever have the means to high fence and protein feed it my be something fun to try. Seems like it would get old hat after several years though. maybe not.

I wont hate. Thats some awesome bucks. The good thing about high fenced areas is you get to see the deer do things that you dont normally get see in the wild. I wouldnt hunt a high fence area but it would be cool to see.
