Near Utica Ms he was stanky and neck swollen, was chasing. I shot him with 7 mag and 160 grain barnes tsx he ran 80 yds and had a great blood trail. Cant decide whether to shoulder mount or european mount.

Nice deer.

I have a noob/novice question, why isn't the deer dressed yet? I thought you field dress a deer pretty soon after killing it to cool the meat? Do you just take it to a deer butcher guy who will do it all for you?

A lot of people in camps take them back to the camp and hang them from their back legs to gut and quarter up. It's much easier to handle everything, especially if it's a covered station when it's raining.
