It's not too late to get your fruit and nut trees fertilized and you will be glad if ya do. Traditionally I punch holes around all our fruit trees drip line and put 1 lb of 13-13-13 in each hole. This is usually done in February but I was late this year. Yesterday I punched 123 holes in the yard and put the fertilizer in them. The fruit and nut trees need the extra stuff to produce and it really makes a big difference. Only bad thing this year is I waited till after Lent began to do it and that meant no cold beer when I was finished. Here is a post I wrote about how I do it:

Ya really should treat ya fruit trees they will reward ya if ya do and it aint too late ........yet

I'll grind those sticks down with a file and spread the shavings into my tomato garden soil. I've had 10 ft tall plants before.

Well 50 lbs of 13-13-13-cost 13$ at the feed store now figure out how much fertilizer ya get in dem spikes and do the math. By using the recking bar and putting the fertilizer in the hole I am making a column like one of those spikes. With all my trees what ya think I'da paid for 123 spikes?? I do things the ole country boy way ad save enough money to keep me in beer for the month.

Really good advice.

Thankfully, I don't have any fruit trees. That shite looks tedious.
