Not sure what this "pre-solicitation" notice means, but it can't bode well for the future availability of 9mm ammo at Wal-Marks.

Doesn't mean much. It's more of an "if we were gonna do this, what would it cost us?" type deal.

Won't have much of an impact if any. FBI can't even touch the number of 9mm pistols that have been sold in the last 18 months. Like one more drop in the bucket.

Has the supply of 9mm actually been consistent lately? Reloaders like me don't go to stores for ammo very often.

I have been able to get 200 each time I go to Academy. Not much of a selection, but they normally have 115gr and 124gr UMC and WWB on the shelves. Self-defense stuff is much less of a selection

Just making sure you know that the bullet isn't almost an inch in diameter. 9mm doesn't equal .9". 9mm is actually .356".

The problem with the glock 40 is it is built on the slender 9 mm frame. The 9mm does not have enough bulk.

The Hk usp 40 is bigger and basically has the recoil of a 9 mm but the benefit of more power.

The "power" difference in a high quality 40 JHP and a 9mm JHP is marginal at best.

Looks like they already use Glock 22/23/27, 17/19/26, and 21 as well as a 1911.

Maybe they are just looking for one 9mm pistol to replace the others they already have?

About 100 lbs of force. I'll take it when I'm in the woods.

But also,

The "power" difference in a high quality 40 and a 45 is marginal at best too.

They use expanding ammo right?

If so, 357sig all the way. Loaded the way it was intended to be loaded of course.
