Lake Maurepas

I've seen plenty of reds caught at the mouth of Blind River and a speck caught while tightlining all the way back to bayou conway.

I've caught a red (a blueish one) in Bay Wallace fishing for sacalait. A good friend of mine caught a tarpon not long after one of the storms somewhere back of the school board.....I heard quite a few had been caught around that time.

Saw a red caught on a buzz bait off Bayou Mallet near Belle river Landing on the spillway side.
Caught Specks in the Tickfaw and Blood river area around 2000. Used to limit on trout at the mouth of Tickfaw regularly.

No, if you go to the back of delta farms by car, theres a pump station that you have to jump a fence to get to... not that I would know...

we go crawfishing by the LOOP and a buddy has or had a deer lease back there.

I can't afford a pass, so I just bum trips off buddies who have camps back there stupid amount of money for one.

After hurricane Katrina, the saltwater pushed all the way to the west side of lake maurepas. This caused a huge influx of saltwater species including trout, reds, drum, flounder, croaker, lady fish, etc. I caught 1000's at the mouth of tickfaw fall 2005. They were everywhere
