What is the fishing like in mid-November around the Myrtle Grove/West Pointe a la Hache area? Looking to have a bachelor party down there and do some fishing.

If you aren't familiar with any those areas, where would you recommend I look?

don't fish that particular area but it's my favorite time to fish. Had great fall trips in Buras, Ponchatrain, Leeville, Lafitte and even a little success in vermillion bay.

What are you trying to do? You want to hire a guide or bring your own boat?

Both most likely. Got a few boats but a charter is an option as well.

Why not drive 30 more minutes and go to Venice? It can be the best place on the planet in the fall.

Venice has been dogshit this year. I know the potential, but waiting all year for the river to get right sucks .

Why? I get weekly reports from guys at work who have been down there for 20+ years. Sure it has its days, but the trout bite has been less than spectacular unlike most other areas on the coast. Just telling it how I see it, bub.

Papa the trout are there just have to find them. This has been my best year down there for trout in four years. They ARE NOT at the islands this year. However they are around don't wait go find them.

Fall is the best time for hunting, fishing and football.
