I got popped in the roof of the mouth one time... I'd gladly take a swollen eye over that

If you've got a big gulp from Tom Thumb, and you're outside in the summer... Check the damn straw.

I got hit by a ground bee once, while mowing my grass.Felt like I had been shot in the side of my leg.I looked down and that bee was grinding his arse, trying drive the stinger in as far as he could.
I brushed him off and just ran, figured more were about to attack. I couldn't get the stinger out,and my leg swelled up like a balloon. The flesh around the stinger actually rotted like a brown recluse bite.
The scar looks like a bullet hole.

You dont need antibiotics. get a steroid shot. take zyrtec in the am and 2 bendryl at night, warm compresses to the eye. We see these regulalry in clinic this time of year. between hunting season prep and cooler weather getting people out in the yard.

Couple years ago my son was in the backyard and a wasp stung him on the arm. He got pissed and grabbed a fly swatter from inside and went back out to do battle. Got one wasp and then he went after another, but it turned out to be a yellow jacket and it stung him right above his lip.

I'm allergic to them now. I got stung by a red wasp once on the hand. My arm was swollen to my shoulder.

Man that sucks. I got stung on my left nipple cutting grass a few weeks ago. I had an A-cup for about a week.

I've been stung on the arm and the hand ... the first time was on my upper arm ( I was like early 30s) I didn't think much about it. But then it started moving down my arm to my hand ... and then it started weeping a little. Doc said had I waited one more day I'd have been in the hospital with sepsis.

Now when I get stung, I take Benadry (had done that the first time as well) and tobacco. If it keeps swelling the next day I tend to go in and get a shot.

gsvar, the nurse practitioner that I saw told me Benadryl at night and Zyrtec during the day but also to take a Tagament or Zantac with the Zyrtec. IDK why but I just did it. It really helped with the itch more than the Benadryl.

Tagamet is a H2 blocker. Zyrtec is an H1 blocker. By doing both you hit both histamine receptors.
