When I start 2013 f150 the E-locker engages itself (yes I've checked 100 times the knob is pushed in). The E-locker light on the dash sometimes illuminates for a second but never stays on. If I catch it I'll tap the switch and it will go off. Other times I don't know it's engaged until I turn and hear the tires dragging.

Local ford dealer said they have never heard of this and naturally can't diagnose it without replicating it or a code. Sometimes this happens 4 times a day and may not happen for a week.

Anyone had this issue? I'm thinking maybe a new switch or relay somewhere.

EtA: the on/off message that comes up when I do pull the switch doesn't come up when th
Is happens.

I want to know it's the knob before I do that. If it's on the axle then it should be under powertrain warranty and I'll let ford handel it

I have the same or similar truck as you. I don't have that problem and can't help, but I wouldn't accept that bullshite answer from the dealership.

"I don't give a shite if they can replicate it or not. It fricking happens and yall need to diagnose it. I'm not up here wasting my time lying to yall for my own amusement. I am telling you what it does."

I would tell them something along those lines, of course in a kind manner the first time.

Do you have an extended warranty or anything? I have the 60 month/60k bumper to bumper warranty. I am approaching the end of its life.

If you can't get anymore help from the dealership, try another dealership or f150 forum.com. I used to visit there frequently and I've seen Ford representatives post there that help people from all over. I've seen them help people escalate their issues to the proper personnel when working with dumb dealerships like yours.

Just replace the knob first, it's like $40

If no message comes on it sounds more PCM or computer related though. Locker is getting 12v when it shouldn't be. Which would suck bc that's $$$

They should be able to hook up a scanner and check the voltage and resistance to/from everything. Are they too lazy to do that?

I'm going to drop it at the dealer next week. The one I called today isn't the one I usually use. I was passing by and was going to stop. Just curious on of anyone had this issue and what was the fix. I don't have extended warranty. I'm at 93k so my only shot at warranty is powertrain
