I currently reside in Eufaula, AL and anyone from Columbus, GA to Dothan, AL knows where this place is. It's got a huge freaking lake and a decent amount of land to hunt on for the public.

However, I've got a guy at work who wants me to go with him across the river into Georgia to got hunting in November. I ask if it's private or public property. Apparently it's a club that only a few guys are a part of and he "knows the game warden". The thing that bothers me is hunting out of state without a license ($250+- for non resident). I even feel like a 10 day permit is too expensive for a weekend hunt at the most. What do you guys do in situations like this?

I guess I could go and just not take a gun with me. But where's the fun in that?

Chances of getting caught are pretty low. You figure there's only a couple guys per county. That's a lot of land to cover and no way they'd know where to find you in the woods. Of course if you got caught....

Done it many times. If caught, don't run. You'll be fine. Don't be a dick.
