Ever catch anybody stealing out of your garden??

My grandfather would grow a bunch of watermelons just so the neighborhood kids would have some place to steal watermelons from. He let them know it to but only with a lot of bluster added on for how he was gonna throw them in the foxhound pen if he caught them stealing his watermelons.

As the story goes.....

A fellow stole some watermelons only to find a sign on the patch the next day that read,

"one watermelon has been poisoned"

The thief scratched out "one" and wrote "three".

Two days later, the whole patch had been plowed under.
