Echo Backpack Blower Shutting Down

Whenever I give it gas with the switch on run. I had to run it last night the entire time on choke. What you baws think the problem?
Normally, I'd say it was the fuel filter, but since it ran with the switch on choke, it seemed to be getting gas.

Make sure your fuel lines haven't become gummy.
My blower ran like shite. Changed them out. You could squeeze jelly out of the old ones they became so deteriorated.
Runs like a champ

Probably the carb. My echo trimmer was doing the same. Save yourself some headache and buy a new carb on Amazon. I bought a new one with air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines (better than echo's) for $23. Took less than 15 min to change it out and it runs like new.
Eta: I tried changing the fuel lines and cleaning my carb first. There's a little mesh filter on the carb that was clogged with gunk from the fuel lines.

Clogged jets the carb. Try empty the fuel out, pour in some Truefuel amd Seafoam mixture. Get it running like you're doing now with the choke on and after running it for one minute shut it down. Try running it again 10 minutes later. See if that Truefuel/Seafoam mixture breaks up that gunk trapped in the carb jets before taking the carb off. I wouldn't repair the carb if it comes down to that. Go buy you a new one on Amazon for like $30

Sounds like you have a stopped up carb.
