There were a few in Cocodrie, but didn't last long. Heck, the skeeters and gnats weren't much of a problem either. I have noticed more deer flies at my house this year.

Repel Lemon Eucalyptus. They will still hit you but they won;t bite you.

When I bring my wife fishing, they never bother me. She got tore up this weekend and I only had one good one while loading the yak.

I wonder that myself but she loves fishing. I like not getting bit. Win-win

Not the weekend, but during the week. Deer flies were on the water out and those smaller ones with the outstretched wings were in the bayou. We had a fly swatter once have to get another. Thanks for the reminder.

Back in the day it was skin so soft to keep the gnats and deer flies at bay ....you smell like a cheap .. but they would land and leave, I can live w/ that. DEET kinda works too but I always had better luck w skin so soft

I think the perfect form of torture for child molesters, neglectors, terrorist, etc. would be to tie them up in the marsh with a swarm or deer flies. Absolute misery!

I always have long sleeves and pants as well as a headnet on board for this reason.

The best thing is Sawyer insect repellent broad spectrum. It is one of the few products that repels biting flies. I have been using it for years.

I went and scouted some places to hang a bow stand and I had 3 tics on me when I got back to the truck. Those dudes hurt when you pull em off.
