Any of you guys hunt the Harry Bourg property in Dulac? We fish that area and have been hearing some shots early in the morning. Does this land hold birds? Is there any feed?

Thanks

It holds some birds but from my experience it's not very consistent. Glassed a few huge piles of Grey Ducks and a few Pintails about 2 miles south of there on thanksgiving day.

You're on Flounder, right? We have a camp at the end of Flounder. My buddy and I have hunted in Northern LA, but are considering making the switch due to proximity and having the camp. Plus the option to hunt the morning and fish the afternoon sounds nice...

I have a lease closer to Cocodrie and I just don't see ducks regularly. Mainly Grays and Pintails. I would like to find a great lease down there so I could use my camp for two purposes. That would be great, but so far, no bueno.

It just doesn't have the duck numbers like our friends to the west (Atchafalaya) and East (MS River). It's a good spot for a few hunts per year and that's pretty much all you're getting out of it. It used to be really good down there in the 80s and 90s but the marsh has changed and so has the flyway. It's convenient for me but I'm certainly not depending on it and will definitely hunt elsewhere if I have an opportunity.

Hunted PAC not far from lake tambour. Between Saturday and this morning only 2 ducks. They had some birds opening weekend but has been dead since. They held some birds last year but not consistent. Have to get on them when the weather is right. Tore the specks and reds up both mornings.
