I'm guessing like anything you get what you pay for. What would be the price ranges I'm looking at?

Lets say from decent to excellent.

Is that the usual per bird price or will places cut you a deal if you are getting more than one?

Would it be against guy/outdoorman code to have a duck mount and not even duck hunt? Really like the way they look but I don't hunt them. Always wanted a few for decoration. Ftr I would go out and shoot them myself to mout them

Naaa but it would definitely be more rewarding if you killed it. Should be a shat ton of wood ducks out your way.

Pair of woodies from the pond. I guess hunting the marsh my whole life made me get really excited about finally killing some wood ducks

Guy doing mine is supposedly a friend. I think I'm getting ripped of based on answers here.

I paid an apprentence $150 each for several birds over the past couple years. His "mentor" charges $250.

The $150 birds werent great, but went on the wall in our duck camp. Suited us fine. The $250 birds were obviously better quality, but I was happy to get a discount and help the apprentence gain experience on his own.

So if I got a quote from a local guy for $325 that's most likely too high?

325 for a standard mount up to 750-1000 for the habitat scenes under glass. That's from one of the best in the world.
