south of KAPLAN,not a good first split. Went sat to knock down the rice stuble to open up the pond, saw more ducks in field than I have in 20yrs. Hope they don't eat out the field before sat...

Lower Dularge. Only two days with limits. Averaged 8-10 birds per hunt. Mostly Greys and Teal. A couple of Mallards in the last week of the 1st split. Looks like more birds moved in this week,

Similar problem- all the birds have been too high.

1 hunt no birds. 2 squirrels.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet. Holding out hope for a trip to TX around Christmas to hit some mallards and maybe some public hunts if I can get the scouting in. The area we hunted last year had more birds than I have ever seen there. Isn't a bird in the sky there this year.

Hey lafdent. It's your favorite ville plattian. I heard about all the birds in Kaplan. Your son in law told me. Hope y'all smash them Saturday. We ended up with 212 for the first split. Avg 13.5 per hunt. Best first split in many years for us.
