I'm going to buy a boat in the next year or so and I'm looking for a boat that I can use to fish the marsh and also duck hunt. I've been looking at War Eagle boats. Any advice? Here is a link to the War Eagle boat that I am considering: LINK

I looked at several different style boat's and went with a custom build over a factory hull and got exactly what I wanted and saved a good bit of $$ by doing so. If you plan on hunting/fishing out of it, keep it as open as possible without all of the clutter from gun/rod boxes etc. Keep in mind these boats are overly load sensitive and placement is key to it performing like it's supposed to.. I'd post some pics of my setup for you to compare but the damn imaging site doesn't work anymore..

It is, but I want to be able to fish unprotected water and run up and down the river.

War Eagle boats have a good reputation. My good friend has a smaller version with a side console that we do a good but of hunting and fishing from. It's a well built boat. It's a 2003 I think and the boat itself has had 0 issues. All the wiring it still good and the hull hasn't had any issues whatsoever.

As someone else mentioned, you may be able to get a custom hull for cheaper so that's an option probably worth exploring. But if you're someone who'd rather just pick up a boat from a reputable manufacturer and not have to deal with the hassle and time line of designing and waiting on a custom order, War Eagle is a good choice.

Sweet boat, if I had a console boat i would want a side console, so your rack and pirogues will fit better. Looks like the perfect boat for Venice and Biloxi marsh.
