There are several blinds north on interstate within viewing distance from road. I never see anyone in them. Area is called La Branche I think. Just curious, anyone hunted there? Obviously it's private but wondering if they see birds

I know they see some bald eagles.

They have a guy who hunts out of a plywood box/blind about 50 feet off the beach in big branch. Nothing surprises me any more.
Btw he murders the dos gris out of it, I've seen them pad up right next to him and he'll take his limit in two shots.

Years ago, my uncle worked at the Shell facility in Norco. He accessed the area you are talking about from the south, from the rear of the Shell tank farm. This was in the '60s and '70s. When I was a little kid he brought my cousin and I fishing out there one time. He would trailer his flat boat through the tank farm to a bayou and launch the boat. I remember that bayou went all the way to Lake Pontchartrain. And there were a bunch of intersecting waterways that could be fished.
He also used to hunt duck and squirrels back there with good success. I remember he used to hunt the squirrels with a .22. I ate a bunch of squirrel stew my grandma cooked from squirrels he killed there.

Upon closer inspection of map, you are correct.
