I believe exaggerated about some of his qualifications, I think if you google Dave Canterbury fired it should bring up more specific reasons.

The problem they had with Dave was that he flat out lied about his military experience. Had he just said that he was a survival guide he would have been fine.

Cody may be a few crayons shy of a full box, but he seems like he knows what he's doing. Except for the whole barefoot thing.
