I had a lab that absolutely hated water (must have been dropped on his head or something). when I was a kid I would swim out into bayou terrebone on a knee board and he would think I was in trouble, so he would swim out there and drag me in by the knee board strap. Dogs are awesome.

My Yorkie is protective like that. He bit my wife in the face for trying to kiss me last night. Love that little, guy.

You can't? I know what my dog is thinking and vice versa. Must suck for you to miss out on that kind of relationship.

Some breeds are easier to "read" than others. I have a Chow and you know exactly what he wants and when he's done with you, he just walks away....pisses my wife off when he does that

My lab used to do that in a pool. I would sit at the bottom of the shallow end with my hand visible.

He would actually dunk his head down at least 2 feet to grab my hand with his mouth and pull me to the steps.

Kick arse. Further solidifies my stance that cats are only for old women who are hoarders
