Technically, it's a Glass Lizard - but it pretty much looks and acts like a snake due to its obvious lack of shoulders. So what says the OB? KIWF? Judge to the head? Or does this guy get a pass?

My dad ran across one in Kiln a few weeks ago. It actually did the thing like other lizards where it loses its tail as a defense mechanism. Said it was beautiful and looked iridescent in the sun. I'd love to catch one, or even just see one in the wild. If he had kept it, it would have joined the rest of mine in a cage.

I've seen them as a kid, freaky when the tail comes off.

I'd have tried to catch him to play with for a bit.

That's one reptile I've never come across in the wild. We have a few in certain areas up here, but they're just not common. They're on my "want to see" list.

It's just a legless lizard. Very hard to catch without the tail coming loose. I have caught a few on cool fall or spring days when I discovered them under some sort of cover. Fairly common here in the Florida Panhandle.
