I would like to but have an irrational (?) fear of it being stolen. I've had a vehicle broken into before

thoughts?

Not anymore. Had a pistol stolen out of the door while in my driveway one night.

A possible threat exists at all times and at all places, and for that, I'm prepared.

I have this under the seat and put the pistol in it at night. I wrapped the security cable around my seat post.

Where do you guys keep your gun stored in the truck. It's hard to find a spot that is easily and quickly accessible, yet conceals the gun well and makes it not visible from somone peeking through your window. I dont have one in my truck yet but am planning on it real soon. The most logical seems to be to take it out of the vehicle every night and put back in each morning on the way to work, but I would think that would be a major pain in the arse. Would be alot more convenient and constant to have one in the truck at all times. Im thinking IWB holster in drivers side door hidden behind something so that it's not visible from the passenger side window. Keeping one in center console seems like it would defeat the purpose of having a gun as it wouldnt be readily available.

Do you take it out every night? Does the "shelf" conceal the gun completely or does it stick out of the top in your truck? Visible from passenger window?
