Anyone have any suggested products or is it better to just hire a professional?

Roaches and fleas mainly. Infestation minimal… wife see’s one roach and becomes hysterical. No children, but a dog and a cat. Looking to sell in about two to three years.

Sell that fricking cat now. I wouldn't hold on to it longer than absolutely necessary.

Since you are planning on selling and if you are a nice area go ahead and have it done professionally. Keep the reciept and document preventative pest control.

boric acid will kill roaches and is safe for dogs and cats. (20 horseteam laundry detergent)

For fleas treat the animals with one of the long lasting meds from vet, then vaccum carpet every day for 2 weeks. Test the house for continued infestation by placing a glass bowl of water with 3-4 drops of dishsoap in it on the carpet overnight.

Fleas in yard, mow regularly, spray with any of the avaialbe yard control mixes, change out dog bedding if it is outside dog. Or get some chickens cause fresh eggs are great and they eat all the insects in the yard.

Haha, that's my wife's cat she's had before we met. Cat just turned 13 and only has three legs... won't be long now.

You really need to start talking about not replacing the cat now before it dies.

Thanks for the advice, both for treatment and future cat issues.

I've had pretty good luck with Ortho Home Defense.

I apply to both the outside and inside perimeters of the house about every 6 months.

Suspend SC or Suspend Polyzone. The Polyzone supposedly lasts longer. Perfectly safe for pets & children and works great. Doesn't kill them instantly but they will all disappear in a few days. You can also use it inside and outside the house.
