Diving out of Cameron this weekend

Thinking about diving this weekend out of Cameron. Anybody have an idea how far out I will have to go to get good visability? TIA

it is a long ride but there is little or no competition - land of big dumb snapper ohh I forgot the no more fishing service closed snapper down ........

we went out 140 miles out of Cameron this weekend. Not sure where water turned blue as we overnighted it at 10 knots. We were about 100 miles out Sat morning and the water was blue.
