Very cool. I'd say for that get a BC hose. Typically more accessible, IMO.

Get a knife with a sharp point. You might need it...
I used a 5 inch akona strapped on my calf. This was up to two weeks ago when I was stabbing a red snapper in the head and he knocked it out my hand. Now the gulf owns it haha.

BC hose.
my advice? get a cheap stainless steel one, you're going to lose a few

Yes put it on your bc hose. That way when you go to sheath it and it tears a hole in the hose you will lose all function from the bc, have to ditch gear, and ascend. I'll stick to the calf.

i meant no disrespect, i know you know more about diving than i ever will, my comment came off wrong, i have seen those, i was just wondering if there was anything other than those 3 knives, because those are always the 3 i see, there have to be more than 3 right? if not thats fine. but i meant no disrespect

A knife is a knife. With the diving I do, I lose a lot of knives. I'm sure Hat has lost quite a bit too haha. I've had them all and to be honest, can't tell the difference!

ok, so a titanium $50 knife is the same as a titanium $200 knife?
Posted on 8/10/12 at 5:27 pm to Wooly
Just make sure you get one that has good reviews of not rusting out quickly. Other than that, yes I think so. I used a 40 dollar knife for over a year in the gulf and it performed great. I loved my akona knife, so would recommend them for sure.

What I just ordered. Like I said though I lose knives spearing so we could be on two who different levels of price haha
