Assuming you're gonna keep it -- paying a little more or a little less will mean nothing in the long run (amortized over 20 years).

P.s. Every now and then palmetto state has them for $329. I got mine a couple months ago at that price.

I've bought 2 guns from them in the past 6 months or so and didn't pay shipping. Not sure if I caught a tree shipping sale at the time I ordered them though.
Sorry... I stand corrected. The first gun I ordered was a Shield 40 for $319.99 and it came go $336.99 with $17 shipping. The second gun was a Shield 9 for $329.99 with free shipping.
Edit to add: sold the 40 for $350 in order to buy the 9.

I went in just to try out the feel of it... after seeing everybody on this board recommend it for CC, I did a little research and was pretty much sold on it... after a minute of handling it, I decided to go for it... call it a researched impulse purchase... I thought about getting one from PSA but couldn't hold myself back

Same here, everything I have read has been good. I was looking at the Glock 43 also but I couldn't pass the shield up.
