Deer on I-12 just east of Oneal

Four times in the last two weeks there has been a group of 3-5 does feeding on the side of the interstate just east of the Oneal onramp. Last night around nine, there was a NICE buck feeding with them. Couldnt slow down to get pics. I've never seen deer in that stretch the ten years I've lived that directions. Is something going on behind Oschner towards the river that is pushing them out?

I have always seen deer in this area. I ran into a guy many years ago who used to belong to a hunting club behind Oschner and he killed many deer back there. Who knows, maybe the river is up and pushing them out

Last week there was a doe feeding 10 yards off of the interstate at 4:45 in the middle of traffic.

Saw a dead doe on I-10 by Blue Bayou a couple weeks ago. Used to see deer in that area when I lived in P'ville a few years ago. There is a group of 4-5 does on side of Magnolia Bridge every evening when I pass there. :cds:

I saw a decent racked buck early Sunday morning between the bridge and O'Neal. We used to hunt over there a few years ago, there were lots of deer.
