I've heard it's pretty good but I've heard its expensive. Just how expensive is it and how hard is it to find a place.

If you hunt around there do you see deer every hunt and I need a price per acre. Also where is a good place to find a lease?

Ive never hunted outside of this general area so not sure how it compares but it is expensive compared to other places

I made 21 hunts in a row 3 years ago without seeing a deer. Its just like anywhere else. Who is around you, management, and habitat.

$20-50+ an acre

Not sure but when you find one let me know

Pigs, hunter density and loss of habitat is killing the deer population

What about 30 minutes from Baton Rouge? What area should be good besides St. Francisville?

I live in Zachary and know St. Francisville folks and have never heard of anything opening up. Land is availability is scarce in the region.

That whole are on the west side of Hwy 61 to the Miss River from Scotlandville north is loaded with big deer.

Its really, really hard to find a club with openings and even harder to find land that isnt already leased. people just dont give these up and if they do they already have a friend or relative waiting in line.

You can steal a lease but you gotta be able to throw enough money out there to make a land owner take it

Happened to some folks I know a few years back. Guys kept coming around making big offer after big offer and finally the land owner gave the lease holders the option to pay that high price or give up the lease. Can't blame the land owner. It is simple dollars and cents.
