Crawfish heads used to kill hogs.

So my buddy has a hog problem in Union Parish. They dumped 20 pounds of crawfis heads out and the next day killed 3 hogs eating the heads. Said these were the first hogs they have seen during daylight hours in a while. Just wanted to let the OB know. Maybe it can work for you.

No offense, but I can't twll if you mean that they used crawfish heads as an attractent so they could ahoot them, or the crawfish heads killed the higs themselves being very hard to ingest. I'm not trying to be cute here, I don't know much about hunting large game.

I take it they were shot.
Hogs are very nocturnal. You will see them on trail cameras and the acres of destruction they leave behind. But rarely see in during daylight.

Used the crawfish heads for bait then shot them.
No way that eating a crawfish head could kill a hog. Hogs are the devil. They eat nails and shite barbed wire.

How man pounds of crawfish did yall eat?
I'm trying to equate the poundage to the amount of heads used. I sometimes have hogs to take care of.

After you shoot at hogs a few times during the daylight hours they get very smart and only move at night. The crawfish heads were something new for them to eat and they came to them during daylight hours (then they were shot).

I would think they hide in creek bottoms. If you spend enough time in the woods you will run accross a stray here and there but not often. I'm lucky no hogs where I hunt..........

They are having a meeting with alot if land owners around the Tensas Refuge to discuss hogs. They are becoming a huge problem (along with the bears).

My ex father in law lives about 15 miles from Tensas and about ten yrs. ago he was raising the little bastards and turning them lose in the woods all around his house.

im from union parish, and owm several areas of land. we do alot of hunting up in there.
