You can cook crawfish in a 6 cup tea pot. The most important link in a quality set up is an experienced taste tester.
I happen to know one..

Just a basic propane burner, big aluminum pot (with basket) that has a lid with a vent.
Couple of #3 washtubs for rinsing, wooden paddle, etc...

I just inherited a nice stainless pot from my gf that my dad built him. Not sure of the size but it's 25 years old and looks new. I have a double jet burner. I can do about 45 lbs at a time.

Lid with a vent? Not sure I've ever seen this.

The lid will have a little deal that you can rotate open or closed. about the size of a silver dollar.

Generally, after you a year or two, the little rivet gives way and you have a vent that stays open all the time.

I just took a look.

I didn't see any with vent.

No big deal, really.

I have s 120 quart pot with a double burner and 60 psi regulator. I can damn near melt through the pot if I want to. Only complaint is the basket is a little small. I'm getting a bigger one made

Why 120?

100 is plenty big enough for a sack and veggies

Yep, 120 is overkill in my opinion.

I have a 100 and would probably buy an 80 if I ever have to get another.

So many places sell it boiled now that we just order some a few times a year. I haven't used my pots in years.

I use an 80 myself but I can see needing 100 if you do lots of corn and potatoes with your crawfish

I do them first so no need for anything bigger

80 quart is all you need, most everybody boils veggies first because they take the longest, then boil your crawfish after. Anything bigger and you will regret it. I had them and went back with my 80,

I have a 100 - I need a second to cook for friends and company functions. Generally boil 150-300lbs but need to be portable. Aluminum pot, propane burner I was thinking Bayou Classic

Bayou Classic makes a good quality stainless pot. Stainless doesn't retain smells. The burner isn't as important as the regulator. Get a commercial regulator. I have an 80.

Certainly does make for a nice environment. I used to feel the same. I guess age, and occupation, has a lot to do with that. People who work for the public and with/around a lot of people often move away from crowds on "off-time."
