Crabbing Lake P?

Anyone been catching some crabs in the lake yet? Heard its been a slow year. Looking to go without the boat, any suggestions on spots? Thinking about hwy 11 area or bonnet care spillway area

They had been very slow, but just picked up a little off Chef Pass. I ended up with a four dozen free ones from a neighbor who caught plenty. This was off Chef Pass in a boat only area, but there are a lot of spots for bank crabbing along Chef Hwy at old abandoned campsites.

Appreciate it. I think I'm gonna go try around that area and maybe wade somewhere along highway 11... Figure that gotta start running soon
