Anyone still into this? I adopted a coonhound pup from SPCA and I'd like to eventually run her with some dogs that know what they are doing. I used to go with my grandfather in the early 80's but I was real young. I just remember sitting around listning to the dogs and heading towards them when they treed. It was lots of fun

my cousin is a die hard coon hunter. Runs his dogs every night he can. He will talk you to death about all his coon stories. I wanted to go last time I was there, but the early morning deer hunts along with feeling like shite did not get me motivated to go.
He did however get one of his dogs in a nice chop for me with a leftover coon tail he had.
Can make a great neighbor with those kind of dogs.

Ha!... My pup is petty tight mouthed but I think that will change once she gets to run with some real hound dogs.
Seems to not be as popular a sport anymore and that is what is kind of appealing to me..plenty of coons and not a lot of hunters running around

I wish I knew someone with a good coon dog. Our lease is inundated with coons. We got pictures of feeders with 10+ coons.
