It's hard to find a good tater log these days. They used to be a standard staple at any gas station hot window. Those, meat pies, burritos, and corn dogs were the true pioneers in the gas station food world. Of course there was fried chicken too.

The real prize is when you stumble across some corn nuggets.

I'm a big fan of a gas station hot window.

I cooked steaks with baked beans, smothered squash, potato salad, and garlic bread. Washed it down with some patriotic Bud heavy.

Sheepshead sweet bells and onions with a beer.

Kids loved it (minus the beer)

You had the corn nuggets at Daq's yet? Bastards are tasty, although my favorite is still the spicy fried green beans.

Yep. I'm a fan but at Daq's, I always like the fried veggie sticks. We usually end up getting 2or 3 apps there because they are too good to desire on.

The gas station in Mangham, LA has a breakfast meat pie with egg And chorizo sausage inside.

It's a tasty treat early in the morning when you're picking up shiners to go rip lippin.
