The closer to you the deflection happens, and that means anything that bullet hits, the more off it's gonna be downrange.
There is no such thing as a 'brush round'.
You'd think that mesh wouldn't effect it much, but I'd be willing to bet that if you put if on paper you'd be pretty disappointed in the groups. It's not like an arrow going through it by slicing. The bullet has to punch through. When even the slightest harmonic change on the barrel from just touching something will throw the bullet off, having to punch through plastic mesh is definitely going to have some effects. And those effects will be magnified the further downrange it goes.
Now if you've got the barrel up to it and the gasses melt it before the bullet gets touched... no effect. Would be interested in seeing someone do this on paper.
