My wife's care had a busted oil line and leaked oil on the carport and driveway. Any ideas for cleaning it? I tried some kind of spray from Auto Zone (they have a million different kinds) and it didn't do a thing. I put down some kitty litter last night and I'll let it sit for a day or two, but I have a feeling that won't do very much.

Someone mentioned bleach, but that will probably just stain the rest of the concrete and leave white spots. There's one pretty big area and a ton of smaller circles where it leaked as she was backing out, I assume.

Any brilliant ideas? And yes, I Googled and got a ton of suggestions. Pretty much everything you can think of and I wanted to narrow it down a little.

Let the kitty litter sit for several days then use large amounts of Dawn dishwashing soap. You can let the soap soak for a few hours and rinse. Might need several applications.

After you lay the kitty litter down you need to walk around on it and smash it up real good until its almost a powder.

Gasoline works well for cleaning up oil and blowing your garage to the moon.

Lots of detergent and use a push broom to scrub it real well

And bleach and a brush does a good job on cleaning concrete.

You'll never get it all out but you will make it much less noticeable

Brake cleaner is a really good cleaner... you can try this after the kitty litter. I've always had good luck with just kitty litter, but make sure you crush it up good like someone else mentioned.

This shite. Also great for getting dried dead hooker blood out of carpet.
