Does clean green water exist anywhere in southeast Louisiana? Is anyone out there having success; this has been a rough summer. The only place I have seen clear water is in Lake Pontchartrain.

Last weekend the water near the pass was dirty, but a few miles down toward fourchon it was much better. Don't be afraid to move.

Exactly what we found 4th weekend. Water was filth all the way to flatboat and it got decent. When you got to Door Point, Brush, and south it was clean grean. Perfect trout water. I haven't fished much this year but my dad has fished a lot. We've found good trout "inside" over oyster flats much more than the exterior islands. But that just us. We are weekend warriors.

Last two weeks have pounded the trout last weekend/week being on huge trout like I haven't seen in years. Key is moving until you find the right water. It's there just have to find it.

Of course sounds like you are fishing GI I am not.

Clean water isn't always on top, just because it's muddy on top doesn't mean it's muddy down lower. Look at your prop wash.

Boat, backside of the island. Started with topwaters for about the first 40 and switched to shrimp when the stopped hitting the topwaters then finished the last 15 or so on topwaters.
