Why don't you just keep him? I know you want him to be happy, but he would be a very happy dog with you by his side, hunting or not.

I could be interested as well. Ive got a 1 year old part chessie part choc lab that doesnt hunt. She loves my pond tho. Happy to have a hunting companion if you dont find a good spot for ur pup.

I would be willing to talk to the OP. Have several acres for him to roam and a pond to play in during off season. Convincing my bride we need another dog would be the chore. We lost a couple of our duck dogs (not mine, my partners) over the past couple years - so he would get some work. Just not 100% i could take him.... But would discuss.

Wish I could take him. Have several hundred acres and plenty of water, I just have to go to VA for four months in a few weeks
